Momentive’s protective coatings enable the use of lightweight plastics, such as polycarbonate and PMMA, in demanding automotive applications by offering excellent scratch, abrasion and weathering resistance, while maintaining color, gloss and optical clarity. Examples include headlamps, exterior trim, sensor covers, interior displays, and new front-end modules that replace air intake grilles on electric vehicles. Momentive’s functional coatings are PFAS-free and include easy-to-clean and anti-fog coatings.
