Are Siloxane-Based Processing Aids Sustainable Alternatives for Food Packaging?

Momentive invites you to join us for a webinar on Sustainable Alternatives for Food Packaging. We will focus on Silquest PA-1, a PFAS-free PPA for blown and cast film extrusion, can enable higher production rates with potential energy savings while eliminating melt fracture and die build-up without compromising application critical properties of the final article.

In this Webinar:

  • We will address common silicone misconceptions and share the steps MPM is taking to develop sustainable alternatives to PFAS-based products.

  • We will introduce the fundamentals of siloxane-based chemistry, the intrinsic benefits these materials offer, and the engineering needed to make high performing polymer processing aids (PPAs) that can address the food packaging market needs.

  • We will conclude by providing example compositions and demonstrating the efficacy of our additive through a quantitative comparative analysis against both PFAS and other PFAS-free PPAs.
